A brand new $750 million project on the Atlanta Beltline’s Eastside Trail has been announced by New City LLC. LAMB Properties is the joint venture partner and the Atlanta office of Perkins + Will is the master planner.
The project will feature terracing green roofs and an elevated walkway into Historic Fourth Ward Park and would include two 12-story office buildings, 200,000 square feet of retail space, a 50-to 75-room boutique hotel, and at least 700 residential units.
The site is one of the largest undeveloped sites in the historic Old Fourth Ward neighborhood that has seen a massive boom in development including popular destinations such a Ponce City Market. The project still faces a few hurdles including meeting with the Fourth Ward Alliance, the rezoning process, and will need approval from the state’s Development of Regional Impact (DRI) program. New City hopes to break ground by the end of 2018.
